The most successful black vocal duo of 60s was Sam and Dave. On the stage they were electrifying. Off stage they rarely spoke to each other. Most of the 70s weren’t good to the two performers but interest in their music was rekindled in 1979 after the Blues Brothers covered their hit “I’m a Soul Man.” The Sam & Dave album “Hold On, I’m, Comin’,” released by Stax records in 1966, can sell for $150.00 today. “Hold On, I’m Comin’” is just one of the over 1,000,000 record values you’ll find listed on the Mighty John Record Appraisal Guide on CD. It’s available in the left hand column.
