Wayne Fontana 45Wayne-Fontana-MindbendersThe British Invasion on the U.S. charts was in full force by the mid-60s. Among the groups to claim a number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 was Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders who reached the coveted position in 1965 with “Game of Love.” The Mindbenders hit again a year later with “A Groovy Kind Of Love,” but without Wayne Fontana who by then had left the group. The “Game of Love” 45 is worth no more than $15.00 but the album, released on Fontana records in 1965, can get you $75.00 today.
