December 22, 2014 Records of the Day

In the early 1960s the Cinnamon Cinder Club in North Hollywood was owned by TV game-show host Bob Eubanks. The Pastel Six was the house band when they recorded their only hit “Cinnamon Cinder.” Despite the lack of promotion from the small Zen record company, the single managed to get to #25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 45, released in 1962, is worth no more than $10.00 but the “Cinnamon Cinder” album is valued up to $250.00 today. For this month’s free list of 10 records worth $100.00 or more, email us at mightyjohn@maine.rr.com
