January 21, 2023 Record of the Day

In Rock N Roll there are superstars and there are legends. Jimi Hendrix was and is both. With his life cut short like his contemporaries, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, Hendrix lives through his influence on so many other performers who followed. His 1968 album, “Axis:Bold As Love,” released on Reprise Records, is worth up to $10.00 in stereo if the label is brown, up to $20.00 if the label is brown and orange, and up to $1,500 if the label is green, pink and yellow as seen here. A mono copy can sell for $2,500.00 today.
