December 23, 2025 Record of the Day

Aretha Franklin was the undisputed Queen of Soul with over a dozen hits that went gold. Without a doubt, she gets the most R-E-S-P-E-C-T for that 1967 maga-hit, which record collectors respect up to $20.00 as well as others like “Chain of Fools” and “Think,” all recorded for Atlantic Records. However, her debut album was on Columbia records. “Aretha,” released in 1961, is worth up to $250.00 today.

Our “Record Appraisal Guide,” lists the values for over a million records. It’s on a flash drive for $24.95. For HUGE discounts on all our record guides, click on “Mighty John’s Discount Packages” in the yellow strip above… Remember, with any order, we will include a free “Picture Sleeve Guide,” listing the values for over 10,000 picture sleeves. The picture sleeves that came with 45’s are worth more than the records! Free shipping in the U.S.A.!
