John Coltrane’s first taste of fame came in 1951 when he can be heard on Dizzy Gillespie’s “We Love To Boogie.” However, his fame blossomed in 1955 when he became part of the Miles Davis Quintet. Moreover, it wasn’t long before his solo career in Jazz began. His debut album, “Giant Steps,” released by Atlantic Records in 1959, is worth up to $700.00 today. In 1961, Atlantic released “My Favorite Things.” That can fetch $750.00 today.
