March 20, 2026 Record of the Day

In 1961, Troy Shondell became a one-hit wonder with the song “This Time (We’re Really Breaking Up).” It sold 3 million copies in just one year thanks to the popularity in the U.S. and in Britain. A copy of the single on Liberty Records is worth no more than $20.00 but on Goldcrest Records the value jumps up to $100.00. Both versions are shown here.

Find the values for over a million records on our “Record Appraisal Guide” flash drive in Microsoft word. It is available in the left hand column or receive a detailed appraisal for any record for $1.00 by clicking on “Online Appraisals” in the yellow strip above.
