Led by their charismatic front man, Jim Morrison, the Doors had many accomplishments including being the first American band to rack up eight gold record albums in a row. The first album, “The Doors,” containing their massive hit, “Light My Fire,” was released by Elektra Records in 1967. The 45 on a gold Elektra label can now sell for $100.00.A stereo copy of the album is worth no more than $25.00 but an original mono copy can get you $750.00 today.
