“Records You Should Know About” are records by recording artists most people have never heard of that can be worth a lot of money, like Furry Lewis. He was among the Blues artists of the 1920’s who didn’t get just recognition for their contributions to music until much later in the 1960’s and 1970′s when Blues became more popular. Before he passed away, Lewis opened for the Rolling Stones and performed for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. He has a dozen records each worth up to $1,000.00 or more. His 1928 single, “Judge Harsh Blues,” on Victor can now sell for $4,000.00. His 78 of “Mistreatin’ Mama,” released on Victor Records, is worth up to $4,500.00 today.
