In 1958, Annette Funicello hit big with the single, “Tall Paul.” It was during the time she had a crush on Paul Anka. A year later Carole King released the single, “Short Mort,” which was a parody of Annette’s hit. But Paul Anka wasn’t all that tall so maybe it should have been “Short Paul,” but of course that wouldn’t have sounded so good. “Tall Paul,” released on Disneyland Records, is worth up to $25.00 while Carole King’s “Short Mort,” released on RCA, can get you $100.00 today.
