Blues artist Jimmy Reed had a major impact on many of Rock N Roll’s superstars from Elvis Presley to the Rolling Stones. The Yardbirds dedicated an instrumental to him on their album “Having a Rave Up.” Elvis recorded two of Reed’s songs: “Big Boss Man” and “Baby What You Want Me to Do.” The Steve Miller Band recorded five of Reed’s songs. In 1958, Vee Jay records released the album “I’m Jimmy Reed.” A year later, they released “Rockin with Reed.” Each album can sell for $100.00 today.
