August 30, 2021 Record of the Day

The second album for Buffalo Springfield was released in 1967. It took a while to complete as bass player Bruce Palmer was often away due to drug abuse and Neil Young often absent for his own personal reasons. Among the better known songs on the album is “Rock and Roll Woman,” co-written by David Crosby. Soon, Buffalo Springfield, the Hollies, and the Byrds would break up leading to the formation of Crosby, Stills and Nash…and eventually Young. A mono copy of “Buffalo Springfield Again,” released on ATCO records is worth up to $50.00 with a cut-out hole in the cover and up to $200.00 with no cut-out hole.
