November 22, 2022 Record of the Day

In 1952, a young Brigitte Bardot appeared in a black and white film called “The Girl in the Bikini.” Playing the part of a lighthouse keeper’s daughter, Bardot’s stunning good looks and lack of clothing caused a country-wide sensation. Her real father was so outraged that he sued the producers. The soundtrack, released on Poplar Records, is worth up to $350.00 today. “The Girl in the Bikini” is just one of the 10,000 soundtracks on our Soundtracks guide. It lists the values for all movies, TV, and Broadway shows and is available in the left hand column.
