In 1999, two weeks after passing from breast cancer she is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Her 1968 single “Son of a Preacher Man,” released on Atlantic Records, can now sell for $20.00 but collectors prize more highly her 1971 single of “Haunted” from Atlantic Records.
